12 Broadsands and Greenway

The scout took these shots on one of his many rides around “The Bay.”

The 1615 Paignton follows the curve to cross Hookhills Viaduct on the climb from Goodrington to Churston. +
The same train crosses the viaduct above the road leading down to Broadsands. The road doesn’t appear on the O.S. until 1938.
The scout dropped down to the sands just for the exercise in climbing back up, before going through Galmpton and taking the road to Greenway Quay. +
Seen from the new Greenway Halt, a B.R. Standard “4MT” emerges from the 495 yard Greenway Tunnel.
