Newquay Harbour

In 2018, the last summer of H.S.Ts. working through trains over the Newquay Branch, the scout spent a day just wandering around town.

The incline from the Treffry Tramway down to the quay passed through a tunnel, whose upper mouth is filled in.

It had been used for storing gigs but a new use enabled the scout to have a look inside.

The owners kindly allowed the scout to take photographs within.
There is an access hatch in the car park above but the scout has never been able to find it.
A rare view of the disused tunnel from the summit of the incline. This has now been infilled and forms part of the Sainsbury’s car park.
