In 2013, the railway wrote to Plum Pictures, the producers of Channel Four’s “George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces,” putting forward “The World’s Smallest Sleeping Car” as a possible subject.
“We’ve always claimed it is unique. We wonder if you think it is amazing.”
Soon after sending the wire, a young lady came from London and spent three hours filming all the curiosities here. Not many days later, the producers rang to say that they wanted to film at Christow for the next series.
By then, the railway had changed its mind.
